Even though Parker Pond has some shoreline development, we include this large, scenic pond because there is so much to explore and because much of the development is hidden from view by the numerous islands dotting the western shore. Even if you paddle past these islands, most of the houses are well back from shore, hidden by trees. Because of all the coves, bays, inlets, peninsulas, and islands, it will take all day to explore this scenic pond. A word of caution, though: This is a large pond, subject to wind. If the wind is out of the north or west, you should be able to paddle along the north shore and down among the protected islands ringing the western shore. If the wind is out of the south, however, it may be difficult just to get your boat into the water. Prominent fish species: salmon and smallmouth bass.
