This is a great place to paddle at or near high tide; watch out for extensive mud flats as tides recede. You should see osprey here against a wooded shore backdrop; osprey pairs nest here successfully nearly every year, sometimes fledging as many as three young. Huge numbers of what locals call herring spawn here.

Lovely but short paddle. Watch the tide however, as the bottom is deep muck when the tide is out.
