This trip starts in one of the most ruggedly scenic areas of the BWCAW, and picturesque hills are usually close at hand. Excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, and lake trout is available. Brook and rainbow trout inhabit some lakes, also. The portages are mostly short, but two are long, steep, and rough. You will talk about this trip for years. Independence Day storm–affected area.
