Snowbank Lake has resorts and motorboats. Once clear of Snowbank, though, a quality wilderness experience awaits on the smaller lakes that lie to the east. The portages are not overly rugged, and there is a great variety in the depths of the lakes and the appearance of the shorelines. Fishing for northern pike and walleyes is quite good, but a fantastic brook trout and splake lake can be enjoyed, also.
