The Whiteface is a narrow, winding stream that races past banks forested with aspen, birch, spruce, fir, and occasional pine. The river is undeveloped for most of its length, even though County Road 52 parallels much of the run. The last mile of this stretch passes several farms and fields. Because much of the river corridor is undeveloped, you may see moose, black bears, and even timber wolves.
