This wild ride culminates in a falls so unusual it is almost surreal. If you carry upstream from the put-in, you can catch a 6-foot drop with a sticky hole and powerful outwash, one of the trickiest spots in the whitewater slalom that is often run at this site. Rate this one class III in low water and class 5 when the hole turns into a stopper. Sloping rocks in the riverbed are jagged and sharp, so be aware.
