Located on the southern tip of Pleasure Island near Wilmington, 5 miles south of Carolina Beach, Fort Fisher tapers to a point, with the Atlantic Ocean on the east and Cape Fear River on the west. You’ll find miles of white sand beach, salt marsh, tidal creeks, the North Carolina Aquarium, and of course, the fort.
