Real Manns is a tremendously steep and difficult test piece for hardcore creek boaters. The run is similar to the traditional Glade/Manns run, but the rapids are steeper and more demanding. Real Manns has some of the most challenging boulder drops found anywhere. Immediately after the opening slide, the run splits on an island, with most of the water heading right and a demanding boulder drop where the channels rejoin. Directly after this there is another small island split (run again on the right) where a 3-foot drop leads onto a 10-foot slide that slams into a brutal pin rock at the bottom. Make sure that you are driving hard left here. Another steep boulder drop, complicated by a downed tree, brings you to Mann-O-Mann. This is a steep series of ledges run on the left leading into an 8–10 foot boof in the center to avoid a heinous sieve on the right.
