6 miles white, then 6 miles flat. That about sums it up. You start off by dropping 10 feet over Hominy Falls. Don’t continue if there’s not enough water to run the falls easily! Below the falls is a long stretch of Class-2+ rapids before you reach the big anticlimax, the flat, bottom section and the pool of Summersville Lake. When the lake is drawn down, a fun Class-4 rapid emerges.
