This is one exciting little stream. It’s hard to catch up, and when it is up, everything else is screaming. The scenery alternates between pleasant woods and coal mines, haul roads, railroad tracks, and old houses. There are no big drops here, but it’s good Class 4 and plenty of maneuvering is required. Most of the middle section is milder (up to Class 3 ), but at low levels the rapids are complex and require constant attention.
