Nice, slow river run. MUDDY WATER. Lots to look at in the first few miles, such as a few waterfalls and couple of small rapids. Probably the coolest thing to see is the old jail upriver. If you travel upriver from where you put in, you will come to a bend, the jail or whatever it is will be in the left hand corner. I was told it was an old jail or either a wood mill, not sure which, but it's pretty old and interesting. Anyway, if you are looking for faster water and more rapids, this is not your place, check out the nearby Sepulga for faster water. If you're looking for a nice peaceful float down the river, this is pretty good. Although I just recently took up kayaking, this was my first river kayaking trip, so my experience is limited therefore this trip may have really sucked or it may have been better than I described. Personally, I rate the water flow as average, well below average clarity (very muddy, wouldn't want to swim in it) and the things to see were slightly above average for this area. In addition, I didn't feel nervous about leaving a vehicle at the put-in point, but the take-out point is rather isolated and caution should be excercised (we had someone pick us up). Hope this helps.
