Meander along the wooded shoreline of expansive and pristine West Grand Lake, part of the 33,708-acre Farm Cove Community Forest conservation lands. The 33,708-acre Farm Cove Community Forest, owned and managed by the Downeast Lakes Land Trust, protects 71 miles of undeveloped shore-front and the associated watershed on West Grand Lake, Pocumcus Lake, Third and Fourth Machias lakes, Wabassus Lake, and Sysladobsis Lake. The trust encourages traditional recreational uses and participates in sustainable timber management and harvesting for wildlife habitat enhancement. Little Mayberry Cove Trail meanders nearly 3 miles along the western shore of West Grand Lake from the dam in the village of Grand Lake Stream to Mayberry Cove, threading a route between Daugherty Ridge and the lake itself.
