Explore the privately owned Hidden Valley Nature Center and one of the most ecologically diverse tracts of undeveloped and roadless forestland in the Midcoast region.
Tucked into the rural countryside east of Randolph and the Kennebec River, the Hidden Valley Nature Center (HVNC) in Jefferson surely lives up to its name. This woodland jewel encompasses 1,000 remote acres of forests, ponds, wetlands, streams, rocky ridges, and old woods roads and trails, all told one of the most ecologically diverse tracts of undeveloped and roadless forestland in this part of the Midcoast, right in the heart of the 320-square-mile Sheepscot River watershed.
