Yes, there are plenty of steeper climbs in the West Hills. And Mount Hood is a tough, long climb, but it’s on a major highway. You can’t get that long, steady eff ort in an isolated setting without heading out toward the Columbia Gorge and taking on Larch. It’s no mistake that hill-climb time-trials are held here.
