This shorter, less hilly tour of southeast San Juan Island offers a mellower form of entertainment. Although fewer points of interest are found along its 25-mile route and there is no glittering marina socked away at the end, there are similarities. You’ll find plentiful water views, a historic park, and a lighthouse. On clear days, you’ll also be treated to views of stunning snowcapped peaks. This tour provides a wonderful opportunity to while away an afternoon, perhaps with a snack stop or relaxation at one of the beaches in American Camp. Restrooms and water are available at the park’s visitor center, but no other services are to be found along the route.
