Located outside the ninety-minute driving zone from Puget Sound (this ride is simply too good to ignore), the combination of Fishhook Flats and the North Fork Taneum Trail is an interval-style training session of challenging ascents and wicked downhill spurts. Add the Hotwheel track–like trails, banked turns, amazing surroundings, and a soothing symphony of natural sound emanating from Taneum Creek, and this trail is a must ride for any mountain biker. Trail surface: Hard-pack singletrack, gravel roads.

Well originally these trails were used only by the dirt bikers and horse back riders, so it is not uncommon that these trails have not been "ruined" but have continued to be used by those who have ridden the trails on motorcyles, and it is the motorcycle riders whom maintain and clear the trails, i being one of them. I wouldn't say they are ruined because of motorcycles, the trails are just heavily used, which is why the motorcycle riders are the ones clearing. Great tactical trails for both mountain bikes and dirt bikes.

The Fish Hook Flats trail (I think its 1377) is simply awful. The motorcycles have completely destroyed this trail. This could have been a fun ride, but it is so rutted it is now terrible. I would not recommend the Fish Hook Flats trail to anyone.
