Leave Route 101 to tour a pathway with wildflowers, a covered bridge, and a beautifully restored trestle. This segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail offers a combination of flat and rolling terrain with some steep hills. The Olympic Discovery Trail is planned to eventually connect Forks with Port Angeles, Sequim, and Port Townsend. Sections of the trail run on old railroad rights-of-way. The completed trail segments lie in Port Angeles and several miles east of Port Angeles; see Trail 19 for another segment of this ambitious rail-trail. Surface: Packed granite with a brief asphalt section. Location: Clallam County, east of Port Angeles.

This report is good as far as it goes, but it needs to be updated. The Olympic Discovery Trail goes over 30 miles from Port Angeles to John Wayne Marina in Sequim. It is a wonderful trail and away from traffic all the way.

This trail is fairly flat with just a couple of short hills, one at the end of the trail at Morse Creek, only one of which may have to be walked by those who are in less than optimal physical condition. Good beginner trail, easy ride through pasture land.

A very pleasant, level walk through Fall foliage and along the Strait of Juan De Fuca. This trail provides a good walk any time of the year as well a being a great path for runners and bicyclists. The close proximity to downtown Port Angeles is also a plus for residents and visitors alike.
