This loop begins with a three-mile ascent on a gravel road. This climb is evenly divided between easy, moderately difficult, and strenuous pedaling. This leg is followed by 2.3 miles of pavement along a rolling ridge.
Back on gravel, you descend for a mile, climb moderately for .2 mile, and then enjoy a three-mile grin-inducing drop along Bear Creek. The scenery on this ride varies from beautiful green forests and lovely creeks to scarred mountains with massive clear-cuts. This ride begins approximately 12 miles east of the coastal community of Waldport.
