This ride includes a 3.7 mile loop and an out-and-back that is 2.8 miles long. There is a moderately difficult half-mile stretch of paved cycling on Forest Service Road 34, and there are some moderately difficult rolling hills on the North Umpqua Trail 1414. The hike to the springs is short but steep.
The ride begins with about one mile of pavement, then travels over gravel road in good condition for 3.5 miles. The rest of the trip is on a single-track trail in fair to good condition. The ride starts at Toketee Lake Campground near Clearwater. Clearwater is approximately 60 miles east of Roseburg and about 20 miles northwest of Diamond Lake.
