St. Edward State Park is just off of Lake Washington but you don't get any real lake views by bike except at the bottom of the Seminary Trail (which is actually a dirt road). The views are of the trails before you, the trees and brush, ferns, and some blackberry brambles. Level and rolling trails are punctuated by a few short bursts and maybe a little walking. It's fun, woodsy riding on hard-packed trails in the midst of the masses. Nearby civilization is not always bad; though the background noise you hear will be auto traffic, the trails are only a few pedal strokes from a mid-ride snack or a post-ride beverage! The kiosk by the parking area notes interesting facts about the park and the history of the former seminary. Read about it when you come; it's all well and good, but the really interesting stuff is the fun mountain-biking the area affords. Scenery: Deep forest trails amid suburban backdrop.

This was the first time I ever went on a bike trail and it was very fun. I would recommend this trail to anyone - even with little to no biking trail experience!

I come from Marin and am used to obstacles like cliffs, rock/rooty single track. I arrived not expecting anything and left amazed! There is a lot of beauty, technical opportunity, and cardio packed into several little 3.5-11 mile total loop(s) single track. It is extremely customizable. You can go for a quick hour ride or spend all afternoon there.

This is a great set of trails to get people started mt. biking on. It has a good combination of climbs, bridges, teeter-totters, and downhills. I would recommend these trails to everyone. They make a great after work quick ride, or longer just play and have fun.

Nice place to ride since it is right in town. There is a variety of terrain, with some good "play" areas of bridges and ramps and logs. Watch out in the afternoons and early evenings as there are a lot of walkers and runners as well as Mtb riders!

This is a good, quick ride close to the city. Also fun at night. Many trails for riders of different ability. YOU DO NOT NEED A NORTHWEST FOREST PASS TO RIDE HERE!
