Valley Trail is an off-road vehicle route in the Randle District of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. A moderately difficult 16.5-mile loop is formed by following the trail for 8.5 miles and then returning on pavement. The path contained some sandy sections but was still in good shape at the time of our research. Expect more degraded conditions as the trail becomes more popular with off-road vehicle enthusiasts. This is a fun and challenging route for intermediate and advanced mountain bikers. The singletrack goes up and down like a yo-yo. The path loses elevation overall as it heads north, but its rolling character creates about 1,000 feet of climbing. Through clear-cuts you can see Burley Mountain, Sunrise Peak, and Juniper Peak. Fun and challenging trail. Scenery: Trail rolls through forest; some distant views at clear-cuts.
