This historical trail lures all kinds of people: mountain bikers, hikers, gold panners, miners, geologists, historians... you name it. The trail runs next to Silver Creek on doubletrack that used to be a forest road. Now overgrown and blocked by a passable yet huge avalanche field, this road makes a beautiful intermediate mountain biking trail. There are several waterfalls to photograph and a great river to cross, should you dare.
