This strenuous tour takes you around the deep blue waters of Diamond Lake and Crater Lake. The route begins at the South Shore Picnic Area at Diamond Lake. From the picnic area, you’ll climb more than 2,000 feet to the rim of spectacular Crater Lake in Crater Lake National Park. Once you reach the rim of Crater Lake, you’ll ride on the very hilly 33-mile Rim Drive, which circles the lake. Despite the strenuous and challenging hills on this road, there are many fabulous viewpoints where you can enjoy the beauty and magnificent geology of this area. Once you complete the loop, you can look forward to a long, fast descent back to Diamond Lake. If you are feeling like a more leisurely ride, you may want to take an optional 15-mile tour around Diamond Lake.

Excellent Ride but the trail guide elevation profile is extremely inaccurate. In general, I've found that all falcon guides have the same problems.

We rode just the trail around Diamond Lake not up to Crater. Great, easy paved 11 1/2 mile trail around the lake. Nice views. lots of shade. Unfortunately we were there after they had drawn down much of the lake and they are going to poison the lake to get rid of the tui chubs in September and then will raise the lake and restock. Might want to check with Diamond Lake Resort if you are going after September.
