Long Beaches' many miles of sandy ocean beaches, numerous tourist activities, and wildlife refuges attract visitors from all over the Northwest. This ride, popular with bicyclists of all abilities, provides an excellent overview of the peninsula's attractions. You'll begin by riding through Seaview and Long Beach on Pacific Avenue, which is lined with gift shops, restaurants, and amusement rides.
You can explore Marsh's Free Museum with "Jake the Alligator Man and the "Two Headed Pig". There are many opportunities to stop at public beaches along the way and check out the great ocean sand dunes, often even seeing gray whales migrating north offshore. Terrain: almost entirely flat. Traffic can be heavy at the southern end of the peninsula during the tourist season.
