The route follows some attractive low-traffic rural roads and includes a stop at Lake Tapps County Park, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. It is slightly more difficult than the southern loop but well worth the effort. The route circles around Lake Tapps, flies down a 650 foot descent into the Puyallup Valley, then follows Riverside Drive and McCutcheon Road along the Puyallup river. You'll be rewarded with a view of the colorful valley and the curving Puyallup river. Terrain: moderately hilly.
