This route follows the Sammamish Parkway around the lake. The route is popular with families out for an afternoon of easy riding and racers taking a quick loop. Counterclockwise riding is recommended because much of shoreside lane of the Sammamish Parkway lacks a shoulder. Take time to explore Marymoor Park, where you'll find one of the few "velodromes" in the US. Terrain: suburban roads with generally good shoulders or bike lanes. A few hills.

The views around the lake were spectacular but the traffic was really intense. If you have the time (and the mountain bike) the rail trail around the Northern part of the lake would make the ride much less stressful.
