This loop begins on the campus of Whitman College. It goes through the residential neighborhoods and semirural lands south of town, then descends into the lower farm- and orchard lands along the Walla Walla Valley, crossing the Oregon border toward the town of Milton Freewater. You may want to visit the Fraiser Homestead Pioneer Museum to learn about the lives of local settlers. Terrain: good roads over flat to major hills. The biggest hill is on the longer option, approaching Weston.

Very fine ride, beautiful country once you exit the city, easy elevation changes. Map however is abysmal, mislabeled, unlabeled in important areas.

The map needed a little work. Early on it says to take Pupper Road. This road is actually called Pepper Bridge Road. There is also some confusion on Dry creek road as there are upper and lower versions of this road. The route is a nice route but do your self a favor and look at a real map first to gather your info.
