This was a fun Sunday drive up the mountain on 2N49. Went a couple days after rain and the beginning of the trail in Verdemont was pretty rutted. Great views of San Bernardino and the surrounding mountain scape. There was some residual snow left on the ground at higher elevations, but the trail was clear and dry most of the way. Terrain was rocky, but not challenging. High clearance 4x4 will have no problem here, even with the ruts at the beginning of the trail. Will definitely drive this again.
Fun little trail. We went when it was snowing. We had a mix of stock 4x4 and modified 4x4. Any stock 4x4 can make this. The parts that we can see the view was amazing. Great little family day trip. Watch for people on ATVs and mountain bikes.
Cool trail, pretty easy. Some small rocky spots. Great views along the way. Ends at Silverwood lake close to Crestline.
