The Harrisonburg Cruise is a short but fairly challenging ride that begins and ends in the heart of Harrisonburg. It is a perfect getaway for those sightseeing the city or visiting family and friends at James Madison University. Considering how busy this city can be, the cruise offers an easy and safe departure from and reentry into Harrisonburg. The surrounding Rockingham County offers many wonderful vistas, typical of any ride in this region of the Shenandoah Valley. Cyclists should be prepared, however, for constant roller-coaster terrain, making this cruise an excellent training ride. Terrain: Moderately hilly. Few flat stretches. No major climbs.
