The Chesapeake Ramble is an easy, delightful tour of the eastern reaches of the Northern Neck, the long peninsula bounded by the Rappahannock River to the south, the Potomac River to the north, and the Chesapeake Bay to the east. Starting in Kilmarnock, the ramble first takes in Historic Christ Church, one of the finest colonial churches in North America. Stop and shop in the unique stores in the villages of Irvington and White Stone. At the ride’s midpoint, take a refreshing dip in the Chesapeake, and enjoy lunch at the popular Windmill Point Resort, located where the Rappahannock meets the Chesapeake. Finally, meander along tidal creeks back to Kilmarnock, the region’s center of activity. Terrain: Mostly flat. Several gentle hills. Nothing that would challenge a beginner.

Was a great ride with little traffic. Had to cut it a little short due to it being a very windy day but overall a nice ride. Very disappointed that we found the Resort closed around the midpoint of the ride because we had planned on a nice break and some lunch. Looked like it was being rebuilt.
