This trail is a great lead in to some tougher trails. We went to the indian ruins, then went on Outlaw Ridge Loop. This was a nice senic trail with lots of challenges. Excellent views from the top of the ridge. Eventually looped back to Boynton Pass.
The Boynton Pass Trail was very scenic and enjoyable. The two side trips we took were the Palatki and Honanki ruins. They were both easy drive and hiking trails to the respective ruins. The Palatki was by far the most pleasing trip as the trail was enjoyable and the pictographs and ruins very interesting and accessable. The Honanki ruins trail and hike were somewhat dissapointing as the trail was uninteresting (requiring 4-wheel) and the ruins visible but unaccessable. Overall, the trail was worthwhile allowed a close up of the red rock formations and desart.
