This wonderfully scenic drive in the Manti-La Sal National Forest also provides access to wilderness areas and some great viewpoints. This trail can be combined with either Cottonwood Canyon Trail or Blue Mountains Road and Cottonwood Wash Trail to create a loop drive from Monticello. Special Attractions: Access to a network of 4WD trails; The Notch Viewpoint; Duck Lake. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions.
