This trail follows county roads from the beginning of Anticline Overlook Trail east to US 191. Eightmile Road first leaves the Anticline Overlook Trail and follows the graded dirt road (CR 171) to the northeast. After a mile, it passes Eightmile Rock. To the left at this point are some dwellings tunneled into the rock. One digging is used as a small cabin; the others are used as feed storage for cattle. Special Attractions: Large arch in Looking Glass Rock; Rock dwellings in Eightmile Rock and Hatch Rock; Access to numerous 4WD spur trails over Hatch Wash. High-clearance vehicles are preferred, but not necessary. This trail is dirt roads, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. The trail is fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point along the trail. Mud is not a concern under normal weather conditions.
