This trail leaves the town of Green River, visits the cold water Crystal Geyser, then travels farther along the Green River, crossing the desolate Morrison Formation on old mining trails, until it joins Salt Wash Road. The trail is moderately challenging—both for driving and route finding—but it is normally within the range of most stock high-clearance SUVs. Special Attractions: The Crystal Geyser and colorful mineral deposits; Views along the Green River; Moderately challenging remote route between Green River and Moab. High-clearance 4WDs are required. This trail has either a rough, rutted surface, rocks up to 9 inches, mud and deep sand that may be impassable for inexperienced drivers, or stream crossings up to 18 inches deep.
