Boisterous. If a single word could describe the Truckee River Trail in summer, that would be it. The trail hums with activity during the height of the summer season, as colorful rafts packed with paddlers spill down the Truckee River, and hikers, cyclists, and skaters trace a parallel course downstream on the rail-trail that also originates on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
