This is a fairly difficult climb on a technically easy 4WD track, great for building those quads. The trail is featured as a loop: half dirt, half pavement. You go up on dirt, down on pavement, or vice versa. Here's a clue to downhillers: Do it in reverse. It is an awesome downhill run. Watch out for the hikers and ATVs, though! The area gets a lot of attention from Moab families who come up here to picnic next to the creek and ride ATVs all over the place. Trail Surface: jeep road and pavement. Loose rocks, gravel, babyheads, hardpack, and soft clay sediments.
