This is a tough ride that throws just about everything Moab has to offer at you except slickrock expanse. It is relatively easy to follow except in two places, so do not get lulled and miss the side spurs into washes at mileage counts 12.8 and 18.1. Do not attempt this ride in the heat of summer! Take lots of water and be prepared for anything, including spending the night. The attractions here are distance, scenery, varied terrain, technical challenge, masochism, and geology. Sliding down the pipeline to get to the bottom of Jackson Hole is NOT recommended.
