Great site. Short trail, like only a little over half a mile down to the falls. It is a spectacular site and fun to climb down and around. The water is muddy and as you get within 100 feet of the falls you feel a mist on you face -- that mist carries the clay dirt with it so everything is speckled when you leave. Not really a downer. It's kind of cool. I took my wife and three boys ages six to twelve. They had a blast. The six year old wasn't watching where he went and ended up in the water which is par for this little guy. At the far end of the trail where you would expect to turn around and head back out, we actually found that you could carefully climb out of the canyon through a trail that was just primitive enough to make us wonder whether it really was possible to get up to the rim on it. And with the young boys, and the steep drop off, it was an adrenaline pumping experience for a protective father. For my boys? A great adventure they won't forget.
