The trail, a wide singletrack, climbs parallel to the road. After about a mile the climb moderates. Watch for an amphitheater in the Pink Cliffs; it is probably the finest one along the Virgin River Rim Trail. It is located about 27 miles east of Cedar City. Hazards: The trail skirts the edge of cliffs in a few places. Highlights: The singletrack runs along the edge of the Virgin River Rim and provides excellent views of the Pink Cliffs. Tread: 3.5 miles on singletrack; 4.6 miles on doubletrack; 3.5 miles on maintained dirt road.
