Like Dark Hollow-Second Left Hand Canyon, Right Fork of Bunker Creek showcases the downhill trail riding and mind-numbing vistas that have become synonymous with Brian Head. But instead of dropping to Parowan on the west side of the mountain, like on Dark Hollow, you’ll head east off the backside to Panguitch Lake. Powerful overlooks from tundra meadows inaugurate the route, a sassy, singletrack descent adds spice, and a turbocharged freewheeler is the coup de grâce. And like Dark Hollow, the stats of Right Fork Bunker Creek are totally biker friendly: 80 percent downhill and 100 percent thrill. Tread: 7 miles of singletrack, 4.5 miles of doubletrack.

The ride from Brian had peak to Panguitch is much like So. Cal. mtn singletrack, only with the bonus of lung splitting elevation. I wouldn't call it a beginner trail, but there are only a couple of sections that require some tech. skills. Overall, a fun trail with spectacular views, but not a ton of mileage. Link it with other area trails, or do the out and back!
