The goal of this ride is to connect biker-friendly Wasatch Boulevard with Sandy’s Porter Rockwell Light Rail Trail. The former hugs the mountains’ foothills beneath the mighty stance of Lone Peak, and the latter follows an inactive railroad corridor past residential backyards and open spaces. Granted, you’ll have to brush shoulders with motorists on all but the rail trail segment, but wide shoulders provide a good margin of comfort. Creative bicyclists will find it easy to connect this ride with Wasatch Boulevard northbound, a variety of rides in Draper, and even routes to South and West Jordan.
