Largely a commuter track and running path, this downtown riverfront trail passes through several appealing parks on the south side of the Clark Fork River. Good for families and for accessing trails east of town, it’s a fast trail, wide and flat, which provides a practice surface for individuals new to the sport and for others when snow lingers in the high country. Cyclists will want to watch for pedestrians and dog walkers. Tread: Gravel road (non-motorized traffic only).
