This sweet little section of trail running north-south along Rattlesnake Creek is primarily a route to travel from town to the Rattlesnake National Recreation Area. It’s a generally smooth track, with a few small obstacles, popular with pedestrians as well as cyclists. Great for beginners and adequate for working on skills and getting warmed up for longer rides, the greenway rolls through ponderosa pines and picturesque clearings, generally sticking close to the creek, and provides an alternative to the paved routes leading to the recreation area. A web of singletrack throughout the park also provides a nice practice zone.
