Located 6 miles north of Helena on the west end of the Helena Valley in the Scratchgravel Hills. Scant precipitation and sandy soils in the Scratchgravels mean dry trails and a longer riding season, even through winter in some years. There's also plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain, and a surprising (some say confusing) number of side trails. Watch for deer and a variety of birds. Portions of this ride traverse private holdings, some of which may be posted against trespass. Please heed all posted property boundaries. Future access is uncertain.
