Located 17 miles south of Bozeman, in the Squaw Creek drainage on the east side of Gallatin Canyon. Highlights: Rat Lake; a terrific hillclimb workout; stupendous 360-degree views from Garnet Mountain Lookout; 3.2 miles of heart-in-your-mouth (but still fun) singletrack. Tread: 5 miles on open logging road; 1.8 miles on old, closed logging road; 3.1 miles on ATV doubletrack; and 3.2 miles on singletrack.
