This is a great ride with a mix of forest road and forest trails. The access road is a major entry point to the BWCA, so you might see a car or three on the way, but it’s generally very quiet. Once you split from the road, the fun really begins as the trail turns to skinny doubletrack and reaches deeper into the forest. Two or three spur trails show themselves on the way down to Omaday Lake, inviting you in. The Tomahawk Snowmobile Trail also winds through this area, providing yet another option for a side trip. This is another excellent fall color ride. Tread: Maintained and primitive forest road.
