Super-fun riding on rolling trails. Over a dozen small lakes along the way offer a good chance to spot wildlife. The trail doesn’t have a straight stretch in it as it winds all over the place on its way north toward Gull Lake. You can ride by an 1886 homestead, a wooden fire tower erected in 1911, and the first forest tree nursery. You may run into some crowding on summer weekends due to the proximity to the many lakes in the area. Tread: Mix of gravel forest roads and dirt and grass trail.

This is a heavily used horse trail, very sandy and full of horse manure. Dense foliage also provides lots of insect company.
