Even though this ride lacks any change in elevation, it is still one of the favorites in all the land. Exquisite hard-packed singletrack follows the banks of the Minnesota River in a winding, twisty manner through lush vegetation and dense woodland. An abundance of stream crossings over homemade stick bridges challenge your skills, and the raft portage over Nine Mile Creek is a one-of-a-kind experience. This section alone is a satisfying out-and-back ride, and direct access to Ride 9 allows for lengthy mileage and a solid day of dirt-filled fun. Tread: 12.8 miles dirt singletrack; 0.9 mile wide gravel trail.
