From the west bank looking across the water riders can see other trail users and a vast array of greenery. When riding down the east bank houses can be seen dotting the shoreline, and the road is visible in a few places. The landscape is much higher on the west bank and the sandy hills provide a nice backdrop for photos of the majestic houses perched on top. The only trail hazards are the wind, which whistles through the canal and can stop your bike in its tracks, and the clam shells scattered along the pavement. Overall this is a beautiful ride, offering some great scenery and a glimpse into how man sometimes succeeds when he tries to control nature. Terrain: Paved bike paths, main roads, and sidewalks.

If your a visitor to the Cape, this is highly recommended. But, a very easy flat, paved ride with a lot of people on the weekends.
