The town of Newburyport, 35 miles north of Boston on the North Shore. The terrain is relatively flat, with regular short climbs and descents. Watch for pedestrians and horseback riders, especially around blind corners. This park is a popular place for walking.

Maudslay is a really fun series of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. I went mountain biking with a friend for 3 or 4 hours. After our ride, we took a rest at "indian rock" as it is known by the locals. You can also jump off of this rock into the Merrimack river. Overall, it is a fun, relaxing place to spend time and get outdoors. I highly recommend it. And it only cost $2 to park.
